A Career Built on Experience

Glenda joined Dargan Construction Company in December 2000, bringing with her nearly two decades of experience working with Dargan’s ownership group. She began working for the owners in 1982 at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Inn, later renamed the Myrtle Beach Martinique Resort, where she served as General Manager from 1995 until 2000.

When the Martinique was sold in 2000, Glenda was offered a position with Dargan Construction Company. Today, she oversees the company’s payroll and employee benefits, including the Group Health Care Plan, 401(k) Plan, Flexible Spending Account, and supplemental insurance plans.

Glenda has been active in the Myrtle Beach community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, as well as serving as Chairman of the Myrtle Beach Visitors Bureau. She has also been a guest speaker at the South Carolina Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Glenda earned the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation through the American Hotel & Motel Association.
