A Career Built on Experience

Bryan Wates serves as Chief Financial Officer for Dargan Construction Company, overseeing the company’s financial operations as well as its day-to-day administrative and accounting functions. He joined Dargan in 2019 after three years in a similar role with a residential construction company, following several years of experience in public accounting and banking.

Bryan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from Wofford College in 2002 and a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business in 2006. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of South Carolina and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Construction Financial Management Association, and South Carolina Association of CPAs.

Bryan and his wife, Amy, live in Murrells Inlet with their three children. Their family attends Belin Memorial United Methodist Church, where Bryan has served on the Board of Trustees and the Stewardship and Endowment Committees.
